The Best Breweries In Fort Worth (According To You!)

Downtown Fort Worth

I was thinking of how to come up with a list of the best breweries in Fort Worth on my own but decided against it. With the number of craft brewing companies increasing by the month, it is better to open this up to the beer drinking community.

Here’s how this will work. I will continue adding companies to this list based on the following criteria:

  • The brewery has to be in the general Fort Worth area (Dallas breweries will be in a separate post).
  • The brewery has to show that it cares about its customers so they need to have at least 50 reviews between Yelp and Google.
  • Those reviews need to be at least a 4 star on both, as well.

With that said, If you don’t see your personal favorite brewery on the list, feel free to shout them out in the comments. If they meet the conditions above, we’ll add them!

Lastly, all you have to do to vote is click on the “Thumbs Up” icon. You get to vote once a day but you can vote for your top 3.

That’s all!

Ok, Fort Worth. Let the battle of the breweries begin!

Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. has been delivering award-winning beers since 2004. Their small local brewery has grown to now distribute beer to 8 states.

The story of Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. started when Fritz Rahr graduated from Texas Christian University. Fortunately for beer lovers in North Texas, Fritz not only fell in love with Fort Worth but also fell in love with his future wife, Erin. Thankfully, Erin gave Fritz the green light when he announced that he would like to carry on the Rahr family brewing tradition and open the Rahr & Sons Brewing Company in Fort Worth, Texas.

4. HopFusion Ale Works

HopFusion Ale Works

Macy and Matt both began their award-winning craft brew journey as home brewers, with over a decade of experience between them. Macy developed a passion for the art of light-bodied ales, while Matt’s passion tends towards the darker-bodied ales and barleywines.

On a Night Riders bicycle ride one very cold December night in 2014, they were sitting at the bar in Malones Pub envisioning a brewery and taproom that would one day become HopFusion Ale Works. Some of the ideas they talked about that very first night are now incorporated into the brewery.

Sports, music, movies – but beer and pizza are definitely near the top of the list. And if those are expertly brewed craft beers, and artisan pizza that’s the best in town, well, as they say “if you build it they will come.”

And build it we did. We’re Fort Brewery & Pizza. Great beer, delicious pizza and an inviting place for the whole community to kick off their boots, hang with good friends and make pals with their taste buds.

7. Peticolas Brewing Company

Peticolas Brewing Company

How many people can trace their brewing roots back to their mom? Well, Michael Peticolas’s mom, Jacque Peticolas, started brewing a Mexican style beer at her El Paso home in the mid-1990s. Poured from big brown 22-ounce bomber bottles, those copper-colored light ales with a hint of apricot hit the spot, especially during the long hot Texas summers. That’s when we first experienced the satisfaction of drinking and sharing beer made at home that tasted better than the beer for sale down the street.
